Bio
Ben Krantz has photographed people all over the United States. He started in 2000 photographing struggling actors and comedians in Los Angeles in need of some headshots to get their careers going. Ben spent several years as a producer for LA's Snow Frog Productions, which he co-founded. He was a store manager and district trainer for a national photography retailer for 7 years. In 2005 he came back to the Bay Area and evetually joined Reflections Photography in Pleasant Hill. In June of 2008 he opened ben krantz STUDIO in Oakland's historic Jack London District.
Over the years Ben has accrued more than just his casting and production experience in the film industry. He has also produced numerous theatrical productions as well, mostly right here in the Bay Area. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Diablo Theatre Company (formerly DLOC) and the Artistic Committee for Contra Costa Civic Theater in El Cerrito. All of this leads to Ben's passion and talent for photographing actors, he knows not only how to bring out the best in them, but how to make sure their strengths and best possible looks come shining through.
